Who are we?

Welcome to Button Push Games. My name is Chris, and I founded Button Push Games as a way to pursue something I’ve been passionate about pursuing for years, developing video games.

After spending much of my adult life in the Army, I began learning game development from the ground up as a creative outlet and a new challenge. This journey is both a personal transition and an opportunity to build something lasting, an independent space where I can grow my skills, explore ideas, and share what I learn with others along the way. This is a way to establish something lasting while still serving so that it can become a full time commitment when I hang up the uniform.

Button Push Gaming was created not only to develop games that feel nostalgic and sincere but also to involve my family in the process. My children will contribute artwork and ideas, turning Button Push Games into something that is meaningful on a personal level. This studio is about more than releasing a finished product, it’s about showing that anyone, regardless of background, can learn, experiment, and create.

I’m currently working on my first “practice title”, a retro-inspired JRPG designed in RPG Maker. I know that RPG Maker doesn’t have the best reception when it comes to releasing games, but I find that before moving on to more complex engines, I need to learn the development process first. It’s a project that represents both my respect for classic role-playing games and my commitment to sharing my process and lessons learned; successes and mistakes. Whether you’re here because you love old-school JRPGs or you’re interested in following the process of a first-time developer, I appreciate you taking the time to visit.

Thank you for being part of this experience. I look forward to connecting with you and sharing what comes next.
